Hike in Rochetaillée (Pilat).

2nd August 2013: easy hike between Saint-Etienne and Rochetaillée, to test me after a muscle contracture.

The route is indicated by red points on the map.


After rue Claude Berthier, at the beginning of the GR42, we see, on the right, Saint-Etienne and his terrils covered with greenery.

After going through the village cemetery, we arrive on a rocky promontory. There, at an altitude of 850 meters increased by the significant height of its base, the Virgin watches over Rochetaillée. I take all my time to admire the panorama on this part of the pilat (cf. the first photo), then it's time to go back to town...
Result of the day: unfortunately, healing is not in order because, after two hours of walking, I gradually lose the sensitivity of the left plantar vault and, finally, the simple fact of laying the left foot becomes painful. But it was still a quiet and beautiful walk.
